Browser Tips

Getting around the browser quickly and effortless is the key to being a champion and conquering the cloud environment. Here are some shortcuts and tips that will give you that leg up you need to work like a pro.

Browser Shortcuts
F5 Refresh the page.
Ctrl + F5 Hold Ctrl to skip the cache.
Ctrl + T Open a new tab.
Ctrl + N Open a new window.
Ctrl + 1-8 Switch to the specified tab, counting from the left.
Ctrl + 9 Switch to the last tab.
Ctrl + Tab Switch to the next tab.
Ctrl + Shift + Tab Switch to the previous tab.
Ctrl and +
Ctrl + Mouse wheel		 Zoom in / out.
Ctrl + F Open the in-page search box.
Mouse wheel click  Open a new tab.
Working with multiple browser windows

When working from a browser, it's helpful to be working from multiple windows at the same time. These tips are useful any time you're using a browser at all. Note that the wording can vary depending on the browser in use.

Open Tab in a new window:
1. Hold down Ctrl + Left Click on any link

2. Right click on a link and select "Open in a new tab"

3. Scroll wheel click

Split your browser to a new window (for viewing different windows side by side):

1. Select the tab with the left mouse and drag it outside of the current window (drag it back to include it with the other tabs)
2. Right click on a link and select "Open in a new window"

 Note that right clicking on a tab in some browsers gives you other options that may be helpful as well.
